Offers first, a cart for the shop

A buyer makes an offer on the work’s page, starting from the asking price, and it reaches you by email. While the work hangs in a gallery show, offers go to that gallery instead. Works in your Facebook and Instagram shop can also be bought at once by card.

We built this first for Sara Paula Hoffman, a visual artist we call Paula.

In use for Paula since July 2026

01 · How it works

How it works

A buyer makes an offer on a work’s page, on a card that shows how its price was reached. That is the flow for originals. Works in your Facebook and Instagram shop can also be bought at once by card.

While a work hangs in a show, its offers go to that gallery instead, so you never undercut a gallery that’s showing you.

Offers reach you by email, with spam set aside, and a private page lists them with what led people there.

02 · What you get

What you get

  • An offer card on every work
  • Offers sent to the gallery while a work is in a show
  • Each offer by email, spam set aside
  • A private page of every offer

How it has run for Paula

July 2026: offers instead of a cart, from the first day. Since October 28, 2026, the shop’s works can also be bought at once by card, for Meta’s checkout test.

Two works have sold so far, each through a gallery: a print at Buckham Gallery and an original at LeMieux.

The whole story is in her case study.

04 · What it doesn’t do

What it doesn’t do

An offer takes no payment. A sale from an offer is agreed by email, as most art sales are, and paid the way you already take payment. Only the shop’s works, which can be bought at once, are paid by card.

05 · Goes with

What it goes with

  • Prices from your own formula: Your prices come from your own formula, worked out the same way every time: a rate for each inch of size, plus materials, then a markup for framing, placement and care. When a gallery sells a work, its commission is added to that price.
  • A shop on Facebook and Instagram: Your catalog as a product feed, so your works appear in your Facebook and Instagram shop and lead back to your offer form.
  • Who looks, and at what: Your site counts which works people stop at, zoom into and ask about, without cookies, and emails you a short summary every Monday.

We start with your works and your prices, and add the rest a step at a time. All thirteen services.
