Who owns your work

People who own one of your works can register it on your site. They choose how the work’s record credits them, such as a private collection in their city, and you get a note when they register.

We built this first for Sara Paula Hoffman, a visual artist we call Paula.

Just started for Paula since October 2026

01 · How it works

How it works

A collector who owns one of your works can register it on your site and choose how they’re credited: a private collection, a city, or their name.

Once a work is registered, its page stops asking “Own this work?”, and you get a note saying it has been registered.

02 · What you get

What you get

  • A page where owners register their work
  • A credit line each owner chooses
  • A note to you when someone registers

How it has run for Paula

October 4, 2026: the owner record went live.

October 10, 2026: the first owner registered, credited as a private collection in New Orleans.

The whole story is in her case study.

04 · What it doesn’t do

What it doesn’t do

Owners register themselves. It records who says they own a work; it doesn’t verify a sale.

05 · Goes with

What it goes with

  • One catalog behind everything: Each work is recorded once, with its size, medium, price and where it has hung. Your site, price sheets, shop feed and search listings are all made from that record, so a price changed there changes everywhere.
  • Offers first, a cart for the shop: A buyer makes an offer on the work’s page, starting from the asking price, and it reaches you by email. While the work hangs in a gallery show, offers go to that gallery instead. Works in your Facebook and Instagram shop can also be bought at once by card.

We start with your works and your prices, and add the rest a step at a time. All thirteen services.
