For artists · Catalogue raisonné, collections management

One catalog behind everything

Each work is recorded once, with its size, medium, price and where it has hung. Your site, price sheets, shop feed and search listings are all made from that record, so a price changed there changes everywhere.

We built this first for Sara Paula Hoffman, a visual artist we call Paula.

In use for Paula since July 2026 · instead of Spreadsheets

01 · How it works

How it works

Each work is recorded once: title, year, medium, size, price, where it has hung and who owns it now. That record is the start of a catalogue raisonné, the complete record of an artist’s work.

Everything else is made from it: your website, the price sheets you send galleries, your shop feed, and the descriptions search engines and AI assistants read. Change a price or a title once and it changes everywhere.

It can be exported to a spreadsheet whenever a gallery or a registrar asks for one.

02 · What you get

What you get

  • One record of every work, kept up to date
  • An export to a spreadsheet, on request
  • Every work described for search engines and AI assistants
  • The record your other services read from

03 · For Paula

How it has run for Paula

JulAugSepOctNovDec2026

July 2026: her inventory moved out of a spreadsheet, where 32 of 33 available works had no price.

Since then: edited from her answers as they come in, most recently on November 2, 2026.

The whole story is in her case study.

04 · What it doesn’t do

What it doesn’t do

A catalog is only as complete as what you tell us. Works we haven’t seen or measured are marked as missing, never guessed.

05 · Goes with

What it goes with

  • Who owns your work: People who own one of your works can register it on your site. They choose how the work’s record credits them, such as a private collection in their city, and you get a note when they register.
  • Prices from your own formula: Your prices come from your own formula, worked out the same way every time: a rate for each inch of size, plus materials, then a markup for framing, placement and care. When a gallery sells a work, its commission is added to that price.
  • Shows, calls and deadlines: Every show and open call with its dates, works and fees, and a reminder before each deadline and drop-off.

We start with your works and your prices, and add the rest a step at a time. All thirteen services.
